"I can’t say enough about how great it is to have her on your team. She brings a level of thoughtfulness, intentionality, and gentle human-centricity that connects people in a powerful way. She is honest and direct yet gentle; open-minded yet always questioning and exploring new ways of doing our work more thoughtfully and creatively."

— Eva Hoffman, Teaching Lead IDEOU

Heyday is a noun that refers to a time when something or someone was in its prime or at the height of its power or influence.

The word heyday goes back to an Anglo-Saxon use of 'hey' as an expression of great enthusiasm and happiness. In its earliest appearances in English, in the 16th century, "heyday" was used as an interjection that expressed euphoria or wonder (similar to our word hey, from which it derives). Around the same time, "heyday" saw use as a noun meaning "high spirits."

It wasn’t until the 18th century that English speakers, perhaps interpreting the "day" of the second syllable to mean "a time or period," began using "heyday" to refer to the period when one’s achievement or popularity has reached its peak.

These days, the word is mainly used when we look back at a time in the past, we are often reminiscing about our heydays. A person or an organization — and even a thing — can have a heyday or a peak time when everything goes well. The good news is that your heyday can come again and again!

Let’s make every day a HeyDay!

Find your journey to a future heyday.
